The first Italian focus group meeting

The first Italian focus group of the ERA_FABRIC project was held via Zoom on July 13th, involving representatives from the research community and the local area in Emilia-Romagna.

The focus was on the theme of sustainable green transition, with a particular emphasis on sustainable production, circular bio-based economy, and clean renewable energy.

The focus group gathered ten participants from the research world, industry, third sector, and local institutions. Representatives from ENEA – Department of Sustainability of Productive and Territorial Systems, Forum of the Third Sector Emilia-Romagna, National Union of Municipalities, Communities, and Mountain Authorities of Emilia-Romagna, Clust-ER Greentech, Clust-ER AgriFood, as well as University of Bologna, University of Parma, University of Ferrara, and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia participated as spoke leaders for the Ecosister project – Territorial Innovation Ecosystem of Emilia-Romagna.

The meeting represented an important opportunity to initiate a local-level discussion on analyzing the needs and challenges of regional research and innovation ecosystems, aiming to maximize knowledge flows and transform them into growth and employment opportunities. The constructive exchange among regional stakeholders will be scaled to an international level and will contribute to defining policy recommendations on green transition topics.
