ERA_FABRIC Final Consortium Meeting in Brussels – A Milestone Reflection and a Look Ahead
On June 4th, 2025, the final consortium meeting of the ERA_FABRIC project took place at INESC Brussels HUB. The event brought together all project partners for a full day of presentations, discussions, and reflections on the outcomes of three years of collaborative work aimed at reinforcing the European Research Area through the concept of ERA Hubs.
The day began with updates on WP1 – Management and Financial Issues, covering the overall project implementation, reporting aspects, and the updated Data Management Plan (D1.4).
A comprehensive session on WP5 – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Standards followed. It included presentations on the Monitoring Dashboard, results from surveys and interviews, and the finalisation of the project’s impact evaluation report (D5.3). The group also engaged in a discussion about the ERA Hub quality label and its inclusion in the final deliverable (D5.4).
Subsequent sessions highlighted:
- WP4: Finalising the Theory of Change as a co-creation policy toolbox.
- WP3: Finalising the Governance Manual for Multi-Stakeholder Platforms and outcomes from the sixth capacity-building webinar.
- WP6: Presenting the classification of ERA Hub schemes, key lessons learned and policy recommendations, and the project’s sustainability plan and roadmap.
- WP2: Delivering the final version and testing plan for the self-assessment and guidance tool designed for ERA Hub actors.
The afternoon session was dedicated to WP7 – Dissemination and Communication, where the team presented the final communication activities and KPIs, the updated dissemination plan (D7.4), and a final policy brief (D7.3).
The meeting concluded with a networking dinner, providing an informal setting to celebrate achievements and discuss future collaborations. This final event marked not only the official end of ERA_FABRIC but also a new beginning for the ideas and structures developed within the project.
