ERA FABRIC Workshops – policies to promote a single market for the green and digital transition

The primary goal of this workshop is to gather input and expertise from key stakeholders like yourself to formulate policies that will drive advancements in research, technology, and innovation within the European Research Area. Particularly, in this first workshop we will explore policies to promote a single market for the green and digital transition. The workshop will take place in an online format the 14th May from 9h to 11h (CET).

The workshop will be a collaborative effort to identify and implement strategies that will positively impact research and innovation across Europe in three key areas:

  • Sustainable manufacturing
  • Bio-based circular economy
  • Clean renewable energy

During the workshop, we will:

  • Review the current landscape of the European Research Area and the concept of ERA Hubs
  • Identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Discuss and define actionable policies to strengthen research initiatives and promote a single market for the green and digital transition
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation.

Any contributions are invaluable to this process. In this workshop we expect to receive stakeholders from the 9 regions that participate in the project:

  • Trondelag (Norway)
  • Ostosterreich (Austria)
  • Emilia Romagna (Italy)
  • Catalonia (Spain)
  • Jihovychod (Czech Republic)
  • Mazowieckie (Poland)
  • Norte (Portugal)
  • Jadranska Hrvatska (Croatia)
  • Nord Vest (Romania)

The participants will be from a varied background, including university, research centres, government bodies, digital innovation hubs, intermediaries, industry, civil society, among others.
